RANDOM GAME OF THE DAY:

The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker (2003)
Developer: Nintendo
Platform: Nintendo GameCube
Purchase Date: 03/25/2003

I don't know which is cooler: The iconic green garb or this lobster shirt?

Those who have chosen to ignore this game because of its cartoon-ish graphics are those who have foolishly cheated themselves from experiencing one of the best entries in The Legend of Zelda series. The cel-shaded, stylized look of the game still has that cutting-edge feel to it, a reminder of the graphical excellence that the GameCube is clearly capable of. The Wind Waker takes place on a variety of different island and to progress in the game, Link must frequently traverse the epic-sized ocean and travel between these locations. He can also use a magical baton to control the wind, which plays a big part in his adventure. Though the overall graphical presentation is seemingly aimed towards the younger audience, there's a dark tone to the storyline and the dungeons feel predominantly desolate. The Wind Waker contains great puzzles, ingenious gameplay, impressive boss encounters, and a lot of secrets to unlock. The Game Boy Advance connection feature where you can view additional information while playing the game feels tacked on but everything else is pure perfection.
