Toon Link and Bowser amiibos

I was at a retailer tonight and I couldn't resist them. Galaxy knows I tried. These two amiibo figurines are just so damn adorable, I just had to make them mine! Who cares that it's apparent now the 7 amiibos that I already have sitting at home are only used to decorate the Game Room with their presence instead of spicing up the Wii U games with amiibo implementation.

The best of both worlds.

Let's start off with Toon Link. This is a beautiful figurine that captures that cel-shaded version of Link perfectly. It may look simplistic from a distance but there are plenty of intricate details to be found on this amiibo. The raised engravings in front of the shield are magnificent and even the back of the shield is well constructed. Let's not forget about the sword's sheath hanging on his back! I really love the marking on it and there is even a mock opening at the top of it. Unfortunately, this amiibo is held back from being utterly flawless due to the huge transparent pillar that shoots up from the base into Link's buttocks. Who knew that Link was into this kind of a kinky thing. What a shame Nintendo.

That looks like it may hurt... a lot!

The Bowser amiibo is thankfully spared from any kind of humiliating bodily penetration. It stood confidently on top of the base, even though it's obvious that Bowser's feet are too big for it because they are left dangling outside of the perimeter. I cannot find any flaws in this particular figurine, making it the best amiibo I have thus far. Not only that, it's also the heaviest of the bunch! Even with Toon Link's massive dildo, I am still very happy with my latest additions. I sure wish that a the other amiibos I want are easy to find at their MSRP value...

Into the Storm! A HotS Story

I was broadcasting League of Legends on my Twitch channel today and I got into a conversation in regards to Blizzard's Heroes of the Storm that is currently in closed beta on the Personal Computer. I had been watching the game being played on Twitch and I was explaining to my channel moderator that I love HotS' focus on teamwork - the fact that everyone levels up as a team and that kill confirms on champions are awarded as a team instead of the person who hit the enemy champion last. Both of us were convinced that the game is definitely worth the $39.99 Founder's Pack to gain access to the beta but then when my moderator opened up his Battle.net client, he saw that he was able to install the game. I then checked my Battle.net account online and saw that I have access to the game myself! I don't remember receiving an email from Blizzy to confirm my access to the game and neither did my mod. So it is possible that I have had access to this game for a while without knowing it. We of course immediately downloaded the game and played it. It was glorious. I am definitely in love with Blizzy's take on the Multiplayer Online Battle Arena genre. I can tell you that based on what I have played so far, this game is a lot more fun than LoL and Dota 2. I will even say that if you are interested in playing the game, it is worth buying that $39.99 founder pack just to access the game!

A nice little gift but I wished they'd be more generous and grant all the Diablo heroes.

Household Figurine Entry 8

As you may know, when it comes to video gaming related figurines, I definitely prefer the Skylanders compared to the amiibos. In this series of entries, I want to showcase the figurines the husband and I have around the house that are not video game related. I will picture them with a Skylander figurine standing next to them just to put some perspectives on the whole subject. No analysis will be provided for these featured figurines as this is just meant to display their own projected beauty. Today's featured showcase is... The Classy Lady!

She is definitely the magic type if she was a Skylander.

January 2015 Gaming Analysis

The results shown below are of course based on the combined data from the Daily Game Log which should provide a clear indication of a game's usage frequency. Bear in mind that even if a game is played twice or more during a particular day, it would still register as 1 in the Day Count column below. In a sense, "merits" are given based on how often a particular game can make me play it again throughout the entire period of the  month on a daily basis. A game that makes a gamer play it over and over again or at least spend a lot of time with it... Isn't that what we mostly want from a great game? I don't think it's really fair to count all the way down to the number of hours played since some games only require a short amount of time to properly serve their purposes.

Total Games Played: 41

Random Game Room Moment

The hubby asked if I wanted new Skylanders and I was like, sure!
