Millia is trying to give Anji a really bad haircut.
When Guilty Gear X first invaded the arcades and the Dreamcast, it proved to both Capcom and SNK that great 2D fighting games are not just about strategic gameplay and ugly pixels - a 2D fighting game can also use higher resolution graphics to look drop dead gorgeous. The thing about great 2D graphics is that they are not susceptible to becoming ugly like many of the 3D games of the past. The characters are unique except for the unnecessary and obvious Ryu/Ken copycats. The only really bad thing about this game is that it inspired the developer to be lazy with the sequels with their obnoxious usages of recycled character sprites.
