RANDOM GAME OF THE DAY:
Xenosaga Episode I: Der Wille zur Macht (2002)
Developer: Monolith Software
Platform: PlayStation 2
Purchase Date: 02/25/2003
The most beautiful android in the entire cosmos.
Even though Xenosaga Episode I fails to top its spiritual prequel, Xenogears for the PlayStation, it is still a mighty impressive role playing game that has a really heavy focus on the characters and the storyline. The game is cut scene heavy but they never feel out of place nor out of context. The exploration of both the human experience and the human existence in the game is highly fascinating though it never reaches the complexity and depth found in Xenogears. Namco's publishing decision to censor and alter several scenes in the game is a major disappointment because the game would still sell well as an "M" rated title.
