New Games Alert: Steam Climax Edition

What better way to end today's 4th of July celebration than to add even more games into my Game Library! Courtesy of Steam yet again, I got Bioshock 2 and Aquaria for the Personal Computer. I have only played the first Bioshock mid-way through so I really do need to get back to it very, very soon before I play the sequel since the story sequence between the two games is chronological. If you never heard of Bioshock before, it's one of the more inventive and dating first person shooter out there that focuses on unconventional weaponry set in a nightmarish ruins of a utopia. Aquaria is a 2D adventure game set underwater. It really reminds me of Ecco the Dolphin, only more imaginative and a lot more beautiful. I started the download for these two games not too long ago so unless I plan to stay awake playing Heroes of Newerth tonight, I will not be able to test out these games until sometime tomorrow [Update Note  - 11:53pm: At least Aquaria is now ready to be played!].

I just realized that both games share a common obsession with water..

Notice the banner up top: I just love Valve's sense of humor.

Bioshock is one of the best games ever.
I need your opinion with a game. Last friday i bought battlefield 2 complete collection (legally of course)in box. When i inserted the disc instead of showing the install menu it showed a rar arhive. The rar constains 2 folders (named layer 0 and layer 1)wich have udf and dat format files and 2 txt files.
Is it just me or they sold me crap?
Today i went to replace the copy but it´s the same shit again. I´ve visited the forums and there´s two guys with the same problema. What do you think?
This copy is the last they have.

Well, unless EA admits in the forum that there was some disc manufacturing mishap, I would think that you got a "bad" disc. You should head back to the store and have them reimburse you because you got some rar download burned to a disc and not the authentic release since I am assuming that they claim to have sold you the legal copy of the game. That's a messy situation.

That's really interesting. Looks like you may have to wait for EA customer service to respond to the issue. They are pretty good at it though. Good luck.

Naa im gonna get old waiting. After three failed copies (all with the same problem) i finally changed it for another game and -of course- i paid the diference.
Im at peace now.
Thanks for the advice anyway.
