The boss encounters are ridiculously funny.
It's interesting to know that this quirky little Japanese platformer began as a shoot-'em-up on the Mega-CD. This sequel should have remained in that same genre because the jumping control found here is a bit wonky. Imprecise control does nothing but doom a platform game. When the bunny girl Rami has a weapon in her hand, it becomes easy to kill the enemies but without one, get ready to accidentally miss landing on the enemies' heads while you are trying to stomp on them. There are a couple of flying sections that mimic the shooting action from the first game and they are more fun that the bulk of the game. Keio 2's saving graces are its offbeat Japanese humor and its awkward but awesome bosses. The game is a rare find - I just wish that its gameplay is as pristine as its market value.
