The game is solo-able but to play effectively,
invite a friend over for a Guardian Heroes night.
One of the best 2D side scrolling beat-'em-ups ever made. The role-playing growth progression and strong multiplayer elements are nicely combined to create an addictive experience. While Radiant Silvergun and Ikaruga share a villain in the form of "Stone-Like", Guardian Heroes shares its villain unexpectedly (due to the genre difference) with Gunstar Heroes with the robot "Golden Silver". Treasure should re-release this one on X-Box Live.
