Big bosses in a shooter always make me smile.
Xyanide is a fun little shooter that really tries hard to make itself unique. One of the most striking things about it is the ever moving background that rotates around the player's ship in a variety of weird angles. It takes a while to get used to shooting enemies that are scattered all over the 3D space but it's a worthwhile effort. The storyline is actually pretty engrossing since the player takes the role of an executioner trying to destroy a powerful witch who created the game's stages. Those who like slower-paced shooters like the R-Types series would definitely enjoy this one.
