It has been two weeks since I started getting back into Yourself!Fitness on the X-Box and I haven't missed a session... yet! The funny thing about this "game" is that after you have used it for a while, like months into the program, Maya would sometime hint that you can skip a day every now and then. I believe she even encouraged me to not do it on my birthday if I remember correctly. Like I was going to fall for those traps however because let me tell you, getting scolded by Maya when you miss a session didn't feel good at all! Now despite how desperate I am to start shedding some weight off, I am taking things slowly this time around. I started a new profile and after my fitness evaluation, Maya recommended that I work out five 15-minute sessions a week. When I saw that at first, I wasn't too happy. My peak with the program in the past was four 30-minute sessions and one 15-minute session per week. So I started re-adjusting the schedule like mad until I came to my senses: if I pushed myself too hard, I will most likely get injured again - I am older now - and that would mean quitting yet another workout routine. So I left it at the recommended level and just recently bumped ONE day to 30-minutes after my second evaluation - the game checks your overall progress every 10 workouts.
So as you may suspect, there was no dramatic weight difference after 2 weeks but I can tell you that unlike doing the Ring Fit exercises, Yourself!Fitness is already giving me results in a short period of time. The fat around my waist is starting to loosen up and one benefit that normally doesn't show for a couple of months is already here even: a curbed appetite. I can usually go for a second helping of lunch and dinner but now, I get really full after the first plate. Last night, because the shrimp scampi was so good, I acted foolishly and ate a second plate. I regretted that decision because I felt so very bloated, I thought I was going to explode Kitana's Fatality style. It's like my body was able to immediately recognize that I started doing a familiar thing from the past thus properly preparing itself for the savagery it's going to consistently endure. And savagery is not an over exaggeration. Maya may look sweet but she is a monster who knows no mercy. I was so glad to stick to the recommended schedule because I was immediately reminded that Yourself!Fitness doesn't play around, and of course that is what I truly need right now. I hope my slow and steady take into a life of fitness this time around will ensure a healthy, continuous relationship with Maya!

I'm glad you are enjoying this new approach to fitness! I didn't realize one's appetite could be curbed by exercising regularly. I guess I should start heeding my stomach's protests over my too generous portion sizes.
I was very surprised by this when it first happened. Whenever I have an active exercise routine, my eating habit would eventually change and it's on a physical level because when I overeat, my body would immediately tell me "No, no, no!"
