New Games Alert!

What better way to celebrate the end of the miserable period of pain and limbo that I have gone through over the last couple of weeks than to pick up several new games for my library. I really wanted to pick up Raiden IV for the X-Box 360 but that game is as rare as they come at the retail level. I ended up with Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 and Demon's Souls for the PlayStation 3, Dead Space Extraction for the Nintendo Wii, and Patapon 2 for the PlayStation Portable. I almost picked up the import copy of Demon's Soul not too long ago but I am so glad that this game has gotten a North American release. It's one of my most anticipated game to play this year. There is funny story in regards to picking up the retail voucher for Patapon 2 - as we all know, this game can be purchased on the PlayStation Network Store. I actually need an extra PSP game case to replace one where the UMD holder is broken so now I got one! By the way, there is actually a game manual that comes with the Patapon 2 voucher!

New room, new pose.

New Game Alert!

I picked up Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story for the Nintendo DS in the evening of 09/21/2009 and I didn't get the chance to post the announcement up due to the move. Notice that the picture below was taken in the my old room. Since I know that I will not be able to able to get quick access to my consoles while moving, I thought I should buy something new for one of the handheld systems. From what I have played so far, this game is as funny as the previous entries in the series. I thought that maybe I could finish this by the time I'm all settled in but what ended up happening is that I didn't even play any of my handheld games mid-way into the move due to the extreme muscle cramps and the utter lack of energy. Hey, moving close to 2,000 games from one place to another - in addition to other household items - is not an easy task.

Bowser is so lovable.

The Return of the L.G.

I finally got the Internet hooked up here in my new home so I'm officially back to continue my journalistic journey. The video game room is not quite ready yet - there are still posters to stick up on the walls and wire/cable blunders to untangle and resolve but I will be showing you my sweet new gaming space very soon. I couldn't be happier with this move because I used to live in a small townhouse apartment but now, I am living in a large house. Sometimes, going up and down the hallways either upstairs or downstairs makes me feel like I am living in a mansion. One of the best things about my new game room is that I can now ditch my digital surround sound wireless headphone because I can just enjoy a full blast from my surround system without annoying my neighbors. I have cancelled GameFly though so that I don't have to deal with any lost time and lost mail in between the move. I am just waiting for a promotional return subscription offer from them before I consider renting games again. There are still a lot of work to be done around the house but boy, am I glad that the actual moving process is over.

Home sweet home.

Exhaustion - A Quick Update

I am almost done with getting everything transported to my new home. The move has been brisk but it's just too time consuming and it is definitely taking a toll on me on a physical level. There are a lot of things to move and hopefully everything will be completed by the end of this week. I have already started restructuring my video game room and the consoles/PC will be hooked up by the end of tomorrow. Unfortunately, I will not have access to the Internet there until sometime next Tuesday and if everything goes accordingly, I plan to make my official comeback then. I miss writing for this site and I look forward to do so again with much frequency (and vigor) very soon!
