As someone who enjoys his free time at home, mostly playing video games, the shutdown brought upon by the COVID-19 pandemic has been made much more tolerable. But I understand the impatience to have things back the way it was so that people can recover both financially and emotionally on top of keeping themselves healthy. This is the reason why we have to do everything we can to get us back there, including getting the COVID vaccine. I was finally able to get my first dose yesterday and had to travel far to get it even, all in the name of quelling the spread of the virus. The arm was mighty sore when I got home and still is now but I am feeling fine. I did get a weird headache on my way back home but that could have been because of the ride than anything else: I normally drive and I am hardly, if ever, a passenger and I think my body couldn't handle that very well, especially since it was a long trip. I know the whole situation with the Johnson & Johnson vaccine is concerning but the speed in which the CDC/FDA caught the situation and took action is commendable. To be honest, I would have gone for the J&J vaccine just to one and done it.

Loner the Board Gamer?
Last month's release of Arkham Horror: Mother's Embrace on Steam had lured me into an unexpected world of physical deckbuilding and board games that the title was based on. Judging from the trailer and screenshots, the game itself looks rather interesting. The physical board/deckbuilding games that are available for this Arkham Horror Files franchise however, believe it or not, are a lot more intriguing. Can't believe I am actually saying that something is more exciting than video game! After an exhausting amount of research, bear in mind that I am very new to this world of complicated physical games, I have decided to hold off on getting Mother's Embrace, place Arkham Horror: The Card Game aside for now because it has too many expansions and they are hard to find, skip Arkham Horror: 3rd Edition because it seems to be a weird mix between the two physical games, and went ahead and got Eldritch Horror because of its more open-ended play structure.

Anti-Boxxer: It's a Cool Stance
I have been holding on to the huge Capcom Figure Builder Creator's Model Nergigante box for about a month now and it's time to let it go. It has been sitting in a corner of the Game Room, taking up an unnecessary amount of space that could have been occupied by functional things. Yes, even though I now believe in less is more when it comes to physical gaming items, it doesn't mean that I don't hesitate about doing the right thing immediately every now and then.

Terry, Terry, Quite Contrary
Nintendo recently released 3 new amiibos on 03/26/2021 and I remember telling myself to pre-order them early because they are all pretty darn cool, unlike the Cat Mario & Peach that showed up earlier this year - nobody's buying those, they are still very easy to find at the suggested retail price. Still, amiibos are not necessarily a priority for me, just a side-hobby, so I had totally forgotten about them until a couple of days ago. Thankfully, I still managed to score two of them: Banjo & Kazooie - shouldn't they be named Banjo-Kazooie? - and Byleth. No Terry Bogard for me unfortunately unless I want to shell out $50, bummer.
