While there are people who want access to a specific game, there are also those who want access to it all. So, apparently, I was just some random Steam-add not worthy of any note for a long time until one day, this person just happens to finally click on my profile and notices my game collection and probably thought... Well, well, wouldn't it be nice?
Can you fault someone for trying though? I don't know, it's pretty tacky. I mean, it would probably have been at least somewhat admirable if some work was put into it before immediately going for the jugular. There was no, "Hey, let's play some games together," or putting comments on my YouTube channel, or stopping by my Twitch stream, nothing like that. It's just, hey I see what I want, may as well just ask for it. Perhaps this is a blessing in disguise, knowing that the only reason why someone is interacting with you is because they want access to your games instead of finding out, I don't know, a week from now? I like the part where the person said "I read that members can share games with eachother". Oh, that is just so tempting to someone with almost 9,000 games on Steam... This individual didn't have a lot of games - not that this is inherently a horrible thing - and they are mostly multiplayer games that I have absolutely no interest in, and adding this person as my Steam Family is definitely not why this feature is made available to us to begin with. As the world is falling apart, here's another sad thing to add to 2026. And it's still January?! Oh my galaxy.
