Before Guitar Hero's time, there existed a cool guitar-inspired rhythm game by the name of Gitaroo Man. The gameplay is more irritating-stick than anything else as you move your analogue stick around to match the incoming phrase bars but the game is very entertaining and musically engrossing. The very Japanese presentation gives the game a strong personality and the cross-genre soundtracks ensure that anyone can find something to like about the game.
